Taking over, for as long as host Barbara Golden permits, the Crack O Dawn show on KPFA 94.1FM with Kattt Atchley and Dan Plonsey, with whom I’ve been texting for several months, or perhaps a year. Like most good things I don’t know when or why it began.

Over time the conversation became a form of conceptual music making, governed by all of the principles and forces of improvisation, rife with surprising harmony and stunning dissonance, notes that instigated a cascade of responses and notes that commanded immediate silence, only to return in a whisper from a new player.

Expect something hugely meta to demonstrate what we’re talking about.
