Dan Plonsey: On His Shoulders Stands No One

Joining Dan Plonsey’s chamber ensemble on drums to perform a new work at the Outsound New Music Summit. I’ve been playing Dan’s compositions since 2002, I think, and if it weren’t for Outsound New Music Summit I never would have stumbled upon this clarifying sentence in Dan’s bio:

…his compositions “arise from the drama of conflict: at least two ideas, one sensible and one absurd, set in motion together or against one another.”

That’s totally true.
