DESCRIPTION:Convening (percussively\, chromatically) with Rent Romus (reedily) for the kind of inimitable scene of the monthly Do Over series at Shapeshifters Cinema. \nCurated by Lisa Mezzacappa and Jordan Glenn\, the series pairs ensembles (first half) with elevated hippie jams (second half) convening curators\, invited performers\, and Shapeshifterians Kathleen Quillian\, Gilbert Guerrero\, and Ellie Vanderlip (performative 16mm projection) exploring the mind’s powerful urge to connect sound and vision. \nRent and I play together so rarely that when we play together we always ask… why do we not play together more often? Over the years we have both grown as people and practitioners\, so that in each meeting we appear to be playing for the first time again.
