Playing Field: Clear

Incubated in 2018, Playing Field: Clear started as my exchange of practices with vocalist Kattt Atchley. We started by standing inside the MilkBar, listening to bird caught inside. We moved through our rituals of preparing the body for producing sound, listened to the bird some more, and began a series of open improvisations using voice, feedback and concert bass drum.

Part noise, part tuning, total wave, we enter the playing field as part of MilkBar Salon, the long-running performance series of experimental dance, music, theater and film.
